NorthMed Productions is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What We Have Done
In designing and building this website, we have taken the following steps to improve accessibility:
- Used semantic HTML to provide meaningful structure for screen readers
- Ensured sufficient colour contrast between text and background elements
- Used descriptive link text throughout the site
- Ensured the site is navigable by keyboard alone
- Set the language of the page in the HTML to assist screen readers
- Ensured text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Hero video plays muted with no audio content, so no captions are required for the background video
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:
- Some embedded video content from Vimeo may not be fully accessible — we recommend visiting vimeo.com directly for accessible viewing options
- The contact form has not yet been tested with all assistive technologies — we welcome feedback if you experience difficulties
