Overview
These terms govern the professional relationship between NorthMed Productions (operated by Ramon de Juan) and clients commissioning production services. By commissioning work from NorthMed Productions, you agree to these terms.
Quotations & Commissioning
All quotations are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. A commission is confirmed upon receipt of a signed purchase order, written confirmation, or payment of a deposit as agreed. NorthMed Productions reserves the right to decline commissions at its discretion.
Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- A deposit of 50% is required prior to commencement of production
- The remaining balance is due within 10 business days of delivery of final materials
- Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998
Scope of Work
The agreed scope of work is defined in the written quotation or project brief. Any additional requirements beyond the agreed scope may be subject to additional fees, which will be communicated and agreed in writing before work proceeds.
Intellectual Property
All footage, photographs, and edited materials produced by NorthMed Productions remain the intellectual property of NorthMed Productions until full payment has been received. Upon receipt of full payment, the client is granted a licence to use the delivered materials for the purposes agreed at commissioning. NorthMed Productions retains the right to use production stills and footage for portfolio and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Clinical & Medical Environments
NorthMed Productions operates in clinical environments subject to the rules and protocols of the relevant institution. The client is responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions, including theatre access, patient consent where applicable, and infection control clearance. NorthMed Productions will adhere to all applicable clinical protocols during filming.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees apply:
- More than 14 days before the shoot date — deposit retained
- 7–14 days before the shoot date — 75% of the total fee
- Less than 7 days before the shoot date — 100% of the total fee
Liability
NorthMed Productions holds Public Liability Insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the commission. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the use of delivered materials.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
